PST Import Tool for Entourage 2004 now available!
As part of Microsoft’s continued to the commitment to the Mac platform, I am thrilled to announce that as of 10am this morning, the Mac Business Unit has made available a new tool to help enterprise users move from Microsoft Outlook 2001 for Mac to Microsoft Entourage 2004.
The PST Import Tool for Entourage 2004 for Mac is now available on Mactopia.com, and enables our enterprise customers to import .PST files created by Outlook 2001 for Mac, into Entourage 2004 11.1 or higher. This tool will import mail messages, contacts, calendar events, notes and tasks.
In particular, I encourage you to read the Read Me and the supporting help files – we didn’t just include them all willy-nilly! There’s some great documentation there.
This free tool is further evidence that we’re serious about delivering to our customers, and in adding more value to Entourage.
I’m quite proud of this effort and what my team accomplished in shipping this utility. While it is a mere 1,434 KB to download, let’s just say that the work of understanding PST files was a bit more than that. 
And the fun isn’t over just yet! Right now the team and I are exceptionally hard at work on getting ready Office 2004 SP2 for later this year. What will be in it? Well, let’s just say that more details to come…

Very, very, very welcome!!!!!!!! Having this tool is going to be really great around here! Now if it could also import the Windows versions of the PSTs….

It’s too bad that the .PST Import Tool requires the .PST files be from Outlook 2001. It WON’T import .PST files that come straight from Windows. Doing that would have shown a serious commitment to the Mac market. Not allowing Windows .PST files to import continues to make it hard for switchers to change to the Mac platform.

Yeah… I just installed office 2004 for mac hoping to get my content from my windows machine onto it. This sucks

I agree with the above two postings… how sad is it that we live in a technologically advance world and I can’t import a simple .pst file from a PC to my new MAC [Office:MAC].
Put the pom-pom’s down… this is a very weak effort by Microsoft, yet again.

This is useless, especially since most people are switching from the PC to MAC environment. How about the rest of us, when do you see that being fixed? Also, nice going MS, the document tells you to troubleshoot and fix by running SCANPST.EXE in windows, WTF!!!!!

If there is an emailing list out there, please add me only for the pc to mac pst import tool.
I too want to strictly use entourage and not run parallels.
