I haven’t noticed a huge incrase on my website, but in email, over the last week or so, I’ve been getting a ton more. All of a sudden my email spam (the amount my spamblockers catch) went from about 5 or 6 messages to 15-20 a day. Uncaught spam has DEFINITELY increased. On yahoo, I’ve stopped using their messenger - they’ve go this lovely spam that goes “oopsy” and then delete the space thing - I get about 2-3 of those a day, always list em as spam, and Yahoo still hasn’t caught on. Other emails have been seeing increased amounts recently too.

In my caught spam folder, usually I see 60-100 on a weekday. This weekend, I saw 240 on a single day.

Not only have I seen an increase in spam, some spammer somewhere used my domain in their reply address, so I was hit with a debilitating crush of bounces and angry messages… I wish people were a little more intelligent. Do they really think that replying to a spam gets you to the spammer who sent it?
Anyway. I got about 4,000 bounces and messages in the space of a half hour.

Yes indeed! Since mid October it’s increased from about 5-10 per day to approximately 60. The ironic thing is, even if I wanted to read them, I would no longer have the time! It’s become self defeating.
